International Conference "The Demography of firms and Industries"

The severity of the current economic crisis requires we address the effect of Firm Demography (i.e. the entry, exit or restructuration of productive units) on the main economic aggregates, including growth, employment and innovation. A growing body of the academic literature, both theoretical and empirical, is now devoted to the different issues addressed in this field, including entry and exit processes, survival of new firms, entrepreneurship, the relationship between aggregate industry life cycle and the firm demography.
